Kia ora tatou; This week’s Music Night, Momentum, was a fantastic opportunity for our school community to come together and connect through music.

The evening showcased a wide range of musical styles, with students from Years 9–13 sharing their talent, confidence, and enthusiasm.

Performing in front of an audience takes courage. It requires hours of practice, managing nerves, and being willing to put yourself out there. These are qualities that extend well beyond the event itself into learning, leadership, and life. This is one of the reasons music and the arts are such an important part of our school.

The evening also highlighted the strength of our Music Department and the expertise of our music teachers and itinerant music teachers, who work closely with students to develop their skills and confidence. Thank you to Head of Music Jae’l Warbrick and everyone involved in preparing for and supporting the event.

This week’s newsletter is filled with stories of students doing incredible things both within and beyond the school. It is awesome to see the wide range of achievements and the positive impact our students are having across the wider community.

Have a great weekend.
