Strategic Priorities:

Within the Green Bay High School Strategic Plan is the goal to “Increase student attendance at Green Bay High School”. The Ministry of Education goal is to have 80% of students attend 90% of the time by 2030.

The following is Green Bay High School’s Attendance Management Plan (AMP) to allow a stepped response to achieve this. The annual plans for attendance are in 2026 to have 65% of students having “regular attendance”, 2027 70%, 2028 75%. The steps to promote good attendance are based around positive communication and in-house reward systems. The target figures for reducing absenteeism are 35%, 30% and 25% of students. The steps to address absence will use the Ministry of Education’s Stepped Attendance Response (STAR) procedure.
