Bobby Ericson (Yr 12)
GBHS student Bobby Ericson (Yr 12) is a budding rapper and producer who had the opportunity to train at Crescendo in Henderson, thanks to the recommendation of Jae'l Warbrick (HOD Music).
After a graduation ceremony performance, Bobby was invited to participate in a paid performance at the Corban Arts Estate for New Zealand Music Month last Saturday. He had to write, develop and produce 30 minutes of music to perform in front of an audience of paying customers - within about a month!
Bobby's performance was warmly received by his many friends and family who came to support him, as well as the audience there on Saturday night. Bobby is really inspired to carry on his musical journey, and is also taking piano and drumming lessons.
At just 16 years of age, Bobby has his sights set on a career within the music industry as an artist and producer.
