Silver Award!
Green Bay High School is very proud to celebrate the success of our school jazz band ' Green Note' who were awarded a Silver Award at the recent Tauranga National Youth Jazz Festival.
After months of rehearsal, our students travelled to Tauranga where they spent three days performing, learning new techniques and being spectators of other performances. Their commitment to their craft was evident in every aspect of their performance, and this result is a reflection of the hard work they have consistently shown.
A special acknowledgement goes to David Edmundson, whose teaching and direction of the band played in shaping their performance.
We are immensely proud of our talented students: Bjorn Griffith, Harisson Trousdell, Matiu Barrington, Simone Liew, Regina Wu, Eve Maloni, Ava-Rose Lee Sang and Arthur Thompson, who represented our school with pride.
We would also like to thank Chris Woodward and Hanna Griffiths for accompanying and supporting our students during the trip.
This achievement is not only a celebration of musical success but also of teamwork and growth. We look forward to seeing what this group continues to accomplish in the future.
