As we come to the end of Week 9, it’s hard to believe how quickly the term has passed. It has been wonderful to see our students giving their best across all areas of school life. Their commitment, resilience, and willingness to get involved continues to make me proud, and they represent our community so well.
A special highlight this weekend will be our participation in Relay for Life. I’m relieved that the bad weather has cleared, allowing this amazing event to go ahead. Our students will be walking and running for 12 hours in support of such a meaningful cause, showing not only perseverance but also compassion and a strong sense of community. I wish everyone taking part all the very best and extend my sincere thanks to Elaine Webb and Debbie Keymer, who have worked so hard to make this possible, along with the staff who will be supporting throughout the day tomorrow.
A big shout out to the 12 students who have qualified to compete at the Auckland Secondary Schools' Orienteering Sprint Finals on Sunday, an outstanding achievement, and we wish them all the best.
As we head into the final week of term, please remember that it will be a short three-day week for students. It’s important that students stay focused, make the most of their learning time, and finish the term feeling proud of their efforts.
