Kia ora tatou; We’ve had a great start to the term. We were very pleased to receive our final ERO report, which recognises the strong and sustained achievement of our students and the quality of the work taking place across the school. This is something our whole community can feel proud of, and I would like to acknowledge the commitment of our students, staff and whānau.

Open Evening on Wednesday night was a great success. It is always a pleasure to welcome prospective students and their whānau into the school and give them a glimpse of what life at GBHS is like. Our student guides did a fantastic job representing the school, answering questions and sharing their own experiences.

Course selection for 2027 will begin later this term. As part of our Career Education Plan, students will receive information and guidance to help them make choices that reflect their interests, strengths and possible future pathways. Conversations at home over the next few weeks will also be an important part of helping students make well-informed decisions.

As we settle into the term, I encourage all students to re-establish strong routines around attendance, punctuality and learning. Term 3 is a busy one, but it also provides many opportunities for students to make progress, get involved and finish the year strongly.
