Kia ora e te whānau; We are now halfway through the term, and the cooler mornings are a clear sign that autumn is on its way!
This week, I’ve loved watching the boys’ volleyball team in action. They consistently uphold our school values, both in training and during games, and their hard work is paying off as they continue to improve. Huge thanks to their coach Fale Mamea, we are really grateful. Next week, both our boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams will compete at the Auckland Championship tournament, and the boys will then head to the NZ Secondary Schools' Championships in Palmerston North in Week 9. We wish them all the best!
It’s been a fantastic week of community connection. We held both our Whānau Hui and Pasifika Fono, and it was wonderful to meet new families and reconnect with familiar faces. The evenings were filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and valuable discussions about what’s going well and what our whānau would love to see at our school. Next Wednesday, we look forward to hosting our Migrant Family Hui, which promises to be another great opportunity to strengthen relationships and celebrate our diverse school community.
Have a great weekend. Fiona Barker, PRINCIPAL
