Celebrating Inclusivity

GBHS's student leaders' vision for 2025 is..."STRIVE TO THE THRIVE in ‘25".
Level 2 and 3 Vocational Studies students are certainly leading by example, working alongside Te Aratika students to make connections and gain valuable experience, working with people of all diversities.
While volunteering their time to proudly promote the inclusivity and integration of Te Aratika students with Green Bay High School mainstream students, this experience also counts towards the SVA badge and CV resumes.
Celebrating inclusivity by building strong relationships within our school community, exemplifies our school values which will allow us all to succeed together.
Green Bay High School is the home base for Te Aratika classes / students from Oaklynn School who have specialised learning needs. This “satellite class” system enables students to have access to regular school life while being taught and supported by specialised teachers and therapists.
Diversity is a very real part of New Zealand society and the Green Bay High School / Oaklynn partnership creates opportunities for both parties to develop learning and understanding of each other.
