Day Event (9am - 1pm): Mix 'n Mingle / Decade Photos

Please find information below regarding the morning Mix'n'Mingle event, and the Decade Photos.

  • The morning will begin at 9:00am with a mihi whakatau, which is a chance for us to welcome you back to your old school. A mihi whakatau is less formal than a pōwhiri, so guests will not be required to respond in any way, however, if anyone is willing to put their hand up to do a whaikōrero on the behalf of visitors, please let us know. The mihi whakatau will be held in front of the Auditorium, which is the large glass-fronted building behind where the original Auditorium was/is.

  • You will then be welcomed through to our B Block Courtyard where Registrations will take place. There will be two Registration tables set up - one for attendees whose surnames begin with the letters A - M, and the other for attendees with surnames beginning with the letters L - Z. Each attendee will receive a lanyard - please wear this throughout the event. Once you have been via the Registration team, you can begin your mixing and your mingling!

  • Displays will be set up in the B Block Courtyard, and in our Library - please feel free to browse through the photos and other archive materials (you may even spot yourself!). There will be school tours (led by current students) running regularly from 10:00am, with the last tour(s) heading off at 12:30pm. Food will be circulating in the B Block area from 10:00am. The Mix'n'Mingle event will conclude at 1:00pm.

  • Winter sports games are happening on the fields, with our football teams playing against Avondale College (9:00am) and Lynfield College (10:00am), and rugby against Auckland Grammar School (9:15am) and Sancta Maria College (11:00am), that you are welcome to check out.

  • Hero Coffee cart will be situated at the bottom of the main car park (nearest the fields), which accepts cash and eftpos, and one of our students will be selling soft drinks and water to fundraise for an upcoming school trip to Germany - cash only.

  • Decade Photos will kick off at 9:30am (see schedule below), and will take place in the Library. If you are registered to be in the Decade Photos, please ensure you are in the Library ready for your photo at the assigned time. Photolife will be on site to take orders and receive payment via cash or Eftpos. Photos will be $25 each (+ Postage). These are also able to be purchased after the event through Photolife directly.

PRODUCTION MATINEE

For those who are attending the Production Matinee, please ensure you are seated for the show in time for the 12:00pm start. A copy of your ticket (either digital or printed) may be required for entry to the Matinee, as this is being run by the Production staff, not by the 50th Committee.

Although the weather forecast for Saturday is fine at the moment, we all know what Auckland weather is like(!), so we recommend that you come prepared for rain just in case! We have done our best to plan things in a way which will keep people as dry as possible, but of course this is not practicable in all areas.

Any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch: [email protected] We very much look forward to celebrating with you all on Saturday!
