Kia ora e te whānau. As we come to the end of the term, I want to acknowledge just how much has been going on across the school.

Our senior students have now finished their Derived Grade Exams. I have been really pleased with the way they approached them and with the work that went into preparing. The results will be really useful. For some students, they will highlight areas that still need some work before the external exams. For others, the results may show that they know more than they realised and that their hard work is paying off.

Congratulations to all of our Year 9 and 10 students who were recognised at our end-of-term celebration assemblies. It is always good to be able to recognise the effort, contribution and achievement of students across the school.

Thank you also to our staff and whānau who have supported students through what has been a very busy end to the term.

The next two weeks are a chance for everyone to have a proper break. Term 4 comes around very quickly and, particularly for our senior students, there are only four weeks before the external exams begin. There will be internal work to finish, exams to prepare for, and plenty still to achieve.

For now, though, I hope everyone is able to take some time to rest, recharge and enjoy the break.

Have a safe and restful holiday, and I look forward to seeing everyone back for Term 4.
