Kia ora e te whānau;

As we come to the end of the 2025 school year, I want to take a moment to thank our students, staff, and whānau for everything we have achieved together. This has been a year filled with hard work, courage, creativity, and learning. Whether in the classroom, on the sports field, on stage, or through service to others, our students have continued to demonstrate the values that make GBHS such a special place.

Our junior students had a fantastic day participating in the Amazing Race yesterday, tackling challenges, taking on activities, and having a whole lot of fun. Their enthusiasm and willingness to get involved was wonderful to see.

Congratulations to those students who were honoured at today's Junior Awards Ceremony. It was a joy to celebrate students who have excelled academically, those who have supported others in our school and wider community through service, and the recipients of our prestigious GBHS Honours Awards. I am so proud of what you have achieved.

A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff, who bring commitment, expertise, and aroha to their work every single day. Thank you also to our whānau and caregivers for the support you have shown throughout the year.

I am really looking forward to 2026. Our focus will remain on creating the best possible learning experiences and ensuring every student feels confident and supported.

I wish you all a wonderful summer break. Thank you for being part of our school community, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.
