Check out some of our very talented Year 11 APS (Art, Painting, Sculpture) work, as part of the class's book sculpture assignment!
Students created an expanded book sculpture exploring the story, identity, or significance of a person who was meaningful to them.
Students transformed an ordinary book into a three-dimensional artwork by thoughtfully integrating a range of materials, considering spatial relationships, and exploring how sculptural forms could emerge from and connect with the structure of the book.
Through experimentation with composition, texture, and construction techniques, each sculpture became a personal visual narrative that demonstrated creative problem-solving and an understanding of how materials and space can communicate meaning.
