Kia ora e te whānau; School buses continue to be a hot topic and we know that many of you are concerned with the current school bus services. This is understandably stressful for our GBHS families. Adding to the frustrations are the additional delays for buses with the Scenic Drive closure and the cancellation of public bus routes with little or no notice.
We sent a notice to parent/caregivers earlier this week (Wednesday 13 March, 2024) via SchoolBridge App, and email regarding: Overcrowding on school buses, Scenic Drive closed for slip repair, and Changes to Bus Schedule - and have included a copy of this information in this week's newsletter, in case you missed it.
Communication is important to us, if you have recently changed your contact details, please phone the school office on 817-8173 ext 201 so that we can update our student records.

Spirit of Adventure
Jacob Kite (Year 12) is about to set sail on a 10-day Spirit of Adventure voyage, from Auckland to the Bay of Islands. Encouraged by his whanau, Jacob applied for the SOA Scholarship, together with a letter of endorsement by form teacher, whaea Tia McIver, and was pleased to hear he was successful in his application.
