Kia ora e te whānau,
It’s been a great week, and a real highlight this week was Wednesday evening’s annual music concert. Nearly three hours long, the audience was treated to a stunning range of musical performances from our exceptionally talented students. The countless hours of practice, along with the support from teachers, itinerant specialists, and whānau, truly paid off. Our students were nothing short of amazing.
We’ve had three teams competing in tournaments this week, with the final games wrapping up today. The matches have been hard-fought, and the passion from all three teams has been wonderful to see. While we’re still waiting on the final results, I want to acknowledge the players, coaches, managers, whānau, and our dedicated GBHS Sports Department for making this such a successful and memorable week.
The school exam period starts next week on Tuesday, 2 September and ends on Friday, 12 September. Best wishes to all our senior students and to our Year 10 students sitting CAA exams.
Have a great weekend.
