Kia ora e te whānau,
There’s been lots of interest in the new temporary classrooms that have been moved onto the upper field near Godley Road. There will be 12 rooms in total with the first 6 rooms running along the Godley Road boundary and the second 6 running parallel with E Block. While each section on the field at the moment looks very long and skinny, two sections will be joined together to make one full-sized classroom. The rooms will be ready to use at the beginning of 2025 and we are really looking forward to using them.
We had a phenomenal Dance Showcase this week, and I was blown away not only by the talent but by the sheer joy that was on stage on Wednesday night. The diversity of dance genres and the range of students participating from different year groups made it all the more special.
Our staff continue to do great things, and you’ll see articles in this newsletter about our Literacy Team, Head of Languages Nicole Polke, and Gabbie Perry our Year 9 Dean. I am really proud of all that they have achieved and what they contribute to our school.
Term 3 is definitely the business end of the year. Senior reports are available this afternoon and PSTs are next WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY evenings. If you haven’t booked your appointments already, please look to do that over the weekend.
Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing many of you at the PSTs next week.
