U18 ICE HOCKEY TEAM:

Congratulations to Daiki Phipps (Year 11) who was selected for the U18 Auckland Ice Hockey team and played in a National tournament in Dunedin over the recent term break.

Daiki, who plays Wing, was awarded POG (Player of the Game) for match 5 against Canterbury and was the overall top scorer of the tournament.

Auckland won 5 of their 6 games.

Daiki first began playing ice hockey, in Japan, when he was only 4 years old - having been introduced to the sport by family friends.

He is looking forward to the next round of national competition, held in Dunedin, in October.
