Green Bay High School students celebrated fantastic results at the Goethe Society German Speaking Competition prize-giving, held at the University of Auckland.

Now in its 76th year, this prestigious competition celebrates excellence in German language learning across Auckland.

We were delighted to see Raff Stirling (Yr 12) and Krisha Karippail (Yr 13) secure first place, while Stella Raccuglia (Yr 12) and Avisa Asghari (Yr 11) achieved second place in their respective categories.

Charlotte Malone (Yr 12) and Luka Guthrie (Yr 12) received Distinctions, while our junior students also shone, with Amian Gaillard (Yr 10) earning Gold and Ashley Prasad (Yr 9), Mithraan Karthikeyen (Yr 9), Ethan Frankenfeld (Yr 9) and Danial Sedaghat (Yr 9) receiving Silver awards.

It was a special evening, with German Ambassador Kristina Jonek among the distinguished guests congratulating students on their achievements.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch! We are incredibly proud of all our students for their enthusiasm, dedication, and outstanding achievements in German!
