Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

GBHS's Year 13 Graduation (held on Monday 1 December) was a lovely evening in celebration of another fantastic year. Green Bay High School has been awarded an impressive $262,000 worth of scholarships.

  • Massey University Undergraduate First Year Scholarship – School Leavers - presented by Bronwyn Dyer, Massey University.
    This scholarship supports school leavers to undertake university study for the first time. They are designed to acknowledge excellence and enable equitable access to study. The value of the scholarship is up to $4,000. Congratulations to: Maerin Farrington, Cherry Zhang, Milly Grieve

  • Massey University First-year Animal Science Scholarship - presented by Bronwyn Dyer, Massey University.
    This scholarship supports first-year undergraduate students in the Bachelor of Animal Science. The value of the scholarship is typically $5,000. Congratulations to: Saskia Shand

  • University of Waikato 'Ko Te Tangata' School Leaver Scholarship
    This scholarship is named ‘for the people’, recognises and supports top-achieving students commencing an undergraduate degree at the University of Waikato. The value of the scholarship is up to $5,000. Congratulations to: Kai Lawford

  • Victoria University of Wellington - Totoweka Equity Scholarship
    The Totoweka Equity Scholarship recognises the University's commitment to equity issues in supporting all students to have access to education. Scholarships are awarded competitively based on academic merit, equity, leadership, and commitment to community.   • Victoria University of Wellington - Kahotea Outstanding Achievement Scholarship This scholarship recognises the top applicants from across the suite of school leaver scholarships that Victory University has to offer. Recipients will have achieved exceptional academic results and demonstrated extensive contributions within the areas of culture, sports, community involvement, leadership, or equity. The value of the scholarship is up to $35,000 over three years. Congratulations to: Araya Roots

  • University of Otago - presented by Alba Suarez Garcia, University of Otago. Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is to celebrate the excellence of students enrolling at the University of Otago. The value of the scholarship is up to $5,000.   • University of Otago - Leaders of Tomorrow Entrance Scholarship - presented by Alba Suarez Garcia, University of Otago.
    Established by the University of Otago Council in 2006 to assist students who have demonstrated all-round ability and who exhibit leadership potential to attend the University of Otago. The value of the scholarship is up to $5,000. Congratulations to: Adi Shirlal

  • University of Otago Performance Entrance Scholarship - presented by Alba Suarez Garcia, University of Otago. Established to encourage excellence in areas of performance including sport, culture, music and the arts. These scholarships are available to academically-able students with demonstrated high-level ability in their chosen area of performance. The value of the scholarship is up to $7,000.   • University of Otago 150th Entrance Scholarships - presented by Alba Suarez Garcia, University of Otago. These scholarships provide for students who have demonstrated academic ability and who can show significant financial need or have life circumstances that present barriers to studying at university. The value of the scholarship is $16,000 over two years. Congratulations to: Chris Oh

  • University of Otago - Donna-Rose McKay Entrance Scholarship - presented by Alba Suarez Garcia, University of Otago. Originally established in 2012 to celebrate the 20 years of formalised support at the University of Otago these scholarships were renamed in 2014 to honour the memory of Donna-Rose McKay, the former Head of Disability Information and Support and a leader in disability advocacy at the University from 1992 to 2013. These scholarships, which are made possible by the gifting of funds by Alumni and friends of the University of Otago, are offered to students who have demonstrated academic ability. The value of the scholarship is $16,000 over two years. Congratulations to: Araya Roots

  • University of Auckland - Top Achiever Scholarships - presented by Sophie Scott-Elvidge, University of Auckland. These highly competitive scholarships are awarded for exceptional academic results, all round ability and leadership achievements, and are valued at up to $25,000. This year over 3000 students applied and only 300 have been awarded for 2026. Congratulations to: Ella Sexton, Alexis Heckler

  • University of Auckland - Academic Potential Scholarships - presented by Sophie Scott-Elvidge, University of Auckland. These scholarships are awarded to talented students who may face barriers to tertiary education, who have nevertheless achieved academically. These scholarships are awarded in three tiers, with values ranging from $6,000 to $25000. This year more than 2500 applied and 110 have been awarded for 2026. Congratulations to: Lukas Correll-Tmka

  • Auckland University of Technology Scholarships - presented by Leila Atkins, AUT. AUT Find Your Greatness Scholarships - School Leaver Auckland University of Technology (AUT) provides undergraduate scholarships to recognise students' academic achievement and contribution to school and community. They also recognise potential leadership ability and contribution to the school, community or cultural pursuits, or sport. An award of up to $14,000 to support full-time study in a bachelor’s degree programme at AUT. Congratulations to: Grace Johnson, Carter Ward, Olivia Cormack-Neto, Cherry Zhang
