Mexico Trip (2027)

From Classroom to Canopy - Fundraising for 2027 Mexico Science Trip:
A selected group of Year 12 and Year 13 students (current Year 10 and Year 11) have the opportunity to attend an inspiring, two-week trip to Mexico with the Operation Wallacea organisation (2027) and are selling Christmas stocking stuffers and small gifts online to help with their funbdraising efforts.

On this trip, students will work with Professors and graduate students from UK universities (including Cambridge and Oxford) to collect data on birds, bats, herpetofauna, butterflies, ungulates, felids and primates to evaluate the impact of climate change.
In addition, students will have the chance to work alongside the team at Akumal Dive Centre, to complete their PADI open water dive training and complete a Caribbean reef ecology course in which they will learn about the major conservation issues with Caribbean reefs and will participate in a variety of techniques for coral reef monitoring.
Each student has their own fundraising page (click on names above), and is selling Christmas stocking stuffers and small gifts online.
- All funds raised will support these students to go on a two-week research trip to Mexico with Operation Wallacea.
