Congratulations to Lily Lei (Year 12) who has been awarded first place in the prestigious Waitākere Arts Youth Division of The Trusts 38th Art Award!
Lily’s stunning acrylic painting, entitled 'Downtown Titirangi' capturing the atmosphere of a rainy night, impressed judges with its precision, depth, and emotional impact - a true reflection of her exceptional talent and dedication as an artist.
Lily thrives in the art and design space, where her imagination, creativity, and technical skill consistently shine through. This recognition is a wonderful acknowledgment of her hard work and artistic vision.
This is an outstanding accomplishment for a young artist and acknowledges many years of commitment to her craft. The judges commented on Lily’s strong and confident brush work, the looseness of the paint layers and the skill in the 'lost and found' edges.
Lily’s award-winning work is currently on display at the Arts Award Exhibition at Corban Estate Arts Centre until October 19th (10am–4pm).
