NZ Dance Nationals

The 2024 National Young Performer Awards was held in Palmerston North, at the Regent on Broadway Theatre over the weekend (25-27 October).

Three students from Green Bay High School took part in the Troupe Dance award, Ruby Wyness (Year 12), Arabella Ray (Year 11) and Amelie Ray (Year 9).

A total of 74 teams were nominated for NYPA (The NZ Dance Nationals), with 19 troupes making it through to the finals.

The girls' troupe 'Madame Kelly' who dance with New Lynn studio DANZA made the podium with 3rd place. This was a very exciting and rewarding achievement after many, many hours of training.

On a side note, Ruby and Arabella will be dancing at the Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park this year, held on the 14th of December at the Auckland Domain.
