YES National Finalists

The stakes are getting higher for two of GBHS's entrepreneurial Business teams!

Huge congratulations to Bella Willson-Fry and Kate Adolph (Soothe) and Anjelique Jessup-Smyser and Sienna Dias (Bake-it-Easy) for making it through to the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) National Awards' Finals, being held in December!
Both teams were extremely successful in pitching their product to a panel of YES judges at the Tāmaki Makaurau Regional Finals, held earlier this week.
Soothe (Kate Adolph and Bella Wilson-Fry) took out the West Auckland competition, securing 1st Place, and were also awarded 'Excellence in Business Management'.
Both teams will now join 22 other regional finalists from around the country to pitch one last time before a panel of judges, to see who will be named The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme Company of the Year 2023!
The YES National Awards Finalists' Pitches will take place during the day on the 4th of December 2023.

• Soothe produces high SPF sunsticks that are ethically sourced, biodegradable, and use natural ingredients plus zinc oxide. Soothe products are waterproof, and have been tested in rough conditions. 10% of all profits go towards Cancer Society New Zealand.
• Bake it Easy produces affordable vegan cake mixes to make eggless baking easy. In collaboration with Crafty Baker to promote the small market for vegan mixes in the baking industry.
