We are here to help ...

As you will have seen last week's newsletter, our school Student Services area has had a makeover with a newly renovated Health Centre!

Below are a couple of updates from the school Health Team:

Student ACC Claims:

Our school nursing team, Melissa Povey and Greer Cutfield, can now lodge ACC claims for students in case further health care services are required. If a claim has been completed for your child, this will be communicated with parent/caregivers - who will receive by post, confirmation that ACC have accepted the injury claim.

GBHS / Health New Lynn Youth Clinic:

Health New Lynn is now offering a Youth Clinic, this service is confidential and free of charge to students aged 13+ at Green Bay High School. The youth nurses at Health New Lynn will work in partnership with the nurses at Green Bay High School to support and aim to improve health outcomes for students. Students can come to the school Health Centre to see Melissa or Greer for more information and to be referred. The clinic will run every Wednesday from 9am - 4.30pm at Health New Lynn.

  • The aim of this service is to help bridge the gap between school and primary health services.

  • Services offered such as lifestyle advice for chronic conditions, cessation advice for drugs, alcohol, vaping and sexual health.

  • The process is designed to provide holistic, supportive, youth friendly services.

  • Any questions? Please email our school nurses, Melissa Povey and/or Greer Cutfield who are always happy to help.
