Beach Education

Year 9 BEACH EDUCATION:

Students will be travelling by bus to Orewa for a day at the beach, applying the knowledge and skills they have learnt in their PE and Health classes.

Students will explore the beach environment with qualified lifeguards, teachers and senior students. Rip spotting, lifeguard training, beach awareness and having fun in the Orewa waves are all on the agenda for this day out.

Students will need to wear appropriate clothing for the beach and bring togs, towel, sunblock, wetsuit (optional) and plenty of food and water.

• Mon 27 November: P9CHI, A9HOS/GAL
• Fri 1 December: M9TWG, M9FOW, P9TSI
• Mon 4 December: K9HKL, A9LHL, K9NLA, W9MIN
• Wed 6 December: P9ALT, K9SGT, P9PAI
• Thurs 7 December: P10MMA, M10GUO, P10ELI (Yr 10 classes who missed out last year, due to bad weather).
