Outside the Classroom: Level 2 PE students conquer the elements!

Over 100 Level 2 students recently enjoyed two action-packed days of outdoor challenges, including Whitewater Rafting at Wero in Manukau and Mountain Biking and Tree Adventures at Woodhill Forest.

The assessment tasked students with being able to identify risk factors from the environment, people and / or the equipment, observe strategies that these outdoor companies apply to mitigate risk and actively apply these whilst participating in the activities. Beyond the technical skills, the students navigated a full range of emotions, from nerves and the biting cold to genuine elation, as they pushed themselves well outside their comfort zones.

Congratulations to all our students for their effort, respect, and "give-it-a-go" attitude. It was fantastic to see such a strong sense of achievement and camaraderie throughout the trip.
