Kia ora e te whānau; this is a friendly reminder of the upcoming rostered home days as part of the PPTA Partial Strike.
Partial Strikes - Rostering Home (Week 10 / Term 3):
Between 15th September and 18th September 2025, there will be a series of partial strikes. Each strike will be from 9.00 am to 3.15 pm. During those times, PPTA members will not teach, instruct or supervise students in certain year levels but continue to teach all other students. Teachers will also continue to do administrative work in the time that they would usually have been teaching students in the affected year levels.
Our board has decided on the following specific arrangements for students affected by this strike action:
- Monday, 15 September 2025: Years 12 and 13 students will learn from home. Years 9, 10, 11 students are at school for instruction.
- Tuesday, 16 September 2025: Year 11 students will learn from home. Years 9, 10, 12, 13 students are at school for instruction.
- Wednesday, 17 September 2025: Year 10 students will learn from home. Years 9, 11, 12, 13 students are at school for instruction.
- Thursday, 18 September 2025: Year 9 students will learn from home. Years 10, 11, 12, 13 students are at school for instruction.
- Friday 19 September 2025 is a normal school day, with all students at school for instruction.
Note:
Parents/caregivers of Year 9 and Year 10 students who need to be supervised at school during their Year level Partial Strike Days are to contact Deputy Principal Sandy Begg before Tuesday 16 September 2025, to make arrangements. Please note that students who are supervised at school will be working online and independently.
