GBHS Music Dept is winning the high notes!

Congratulations to Sienna Gray (Year 13) who was a Finalist for the Play It Strange National Songwriting Competition Yr 9-13, with her song 'Tomorrow/Day 2'. Sienna receives a $50 Rock Shop gift card and a day in a professional recording studio of her choice to record the song, giving her the opportunity to work alongside some of New Zealand’s recognised producers and engineers. Recorded songs will be released onto digital albums via Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp.

GBHS's Jazz Combo 'Green Note' recently performed at the Auckland Jazz Festival held at Birkenhead RSA, where they were awarded Silver! Congratulations to Year 12 students: Björn Griffiths, Matiu Barrington, Regina Wu, Eve Maloni-Simpson, Arthur Thompson, Ava-Rose Lee Sang for their well deserved efforts.
