GBHS's Careers Dept was proud to host another amazing Kawhe Kōrero presenter on Tuesday - past pupil Zara Collins (2016-2020) - who is now completing her Doctorate at the University of Auckland in Medical Research.

Zara shared her passion for science and her knowledge in pursuing an array of Science careers with pathways in the medical field.

For many students, Zara's informative talk was aspirational - hearing how Zara journeyed away from becoming a GP, to finding a hugely successful career in medical research.

Zara answered lots of interesting student questions re UCATS, and medicine interviews, pay, the demanding university Physics papers, and the fun she has had working in labs.

After the presentation, Zara spoke one-on-one with many interested students.
