EPRO8 Challenge, a science and engineering competition:
Five teams of fast, tactical thinkers from GBHS took part in this year's EPRO8 competition, held at KBHS over a two-day event.
Participants practice and extend their STEM skills in an engaging competition against other schools to engineer solutions to challenges, using giant meccano-style equipment.
This year's challenges included building a body-mounted laser gun device to shoot a mobile target, making a remote-controlled shopping cart, or creating an autonomous barrier arm.
GBHS's Junior teams had an intense few hours in a very close competition. One of the teams was rewarded with a spot in the semifinals. Senior teams finished strongly, unfortunately missing out on qualifying for the semi-final round.
This was a fantastic event and everyone is keen to come back next year.
