UP-AND-COMING NETBALL STARS:

The Junior Tri-Nations Indoor Netball is an event that boasts the top 19 teams from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

GBHS students Chloe Van Wyk (Yr 9) and Madi Shaw (Yr 10) competed in the recent Junior Tri Nations 2024 Indoor Netball, held at Waitakere Indoor Centre Auckland (20 - 27 July 2024).

Madi, who plays C in the 6s and WD, C, WA in the 7s; and Chloe, who plays A, C in the 6s and GS, GA, WA, WD, C in the 7s both had great results - with Chloe's team placing Silver in the U13 category; and Madi's U15 team placing 3rd overall in the 6s, and 4th overall in the 7s.

Both girls were selected to play in the Tri-Nations after standout performances during club games. Chloe plays for Waitakere New Jacks (as well as the GBHS's Snr Prem and 9A teams). Madi plays for the Waitakere Vipers (and GBHS's Snr Prem team).
