3rd Ranking in New Zealand!

When it comes to mathematics competitions, students at Green Bay High School are certainly taking advantage of plenty of opportunities to participate.

In April, over 200 students from Green Bay High School participated in the University of Otago Junior Mathematics Competition. Ten of those students advanced to the second round of the national competition, and our very own Ryan Lott (Year 9) went on to rank 3rd across all of New Zealand. Ka pai, Ryan!

In May, 15 students comprising one junior team and one senior team competed in the University of Auckland Maths Olympiad. In the coming weeks, 124 students will be competing in the New Zealand Association of Mathematics Teachers Senior Mathematics Competition, and our junior and senior teams are heading to the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium to compete in the Casio Mathex competition.
