Reanna Yang (Year 9) cuts a cool figure on the ice!

Congratulations to Reanna, who recently participated in the Allegro Champs Ice Figure Skating Competition, placing 2nd and earning a high enough score to qualify for the nationals in October.

Reanna, who began ice skating at only 6 years of age, puts in a lot of time and effort in order for her practice to become perfect - training 5 to 6 times a week, after school. Her efforts are certainly paying off, placing 3rd just last weekend, at the North Island Champs.

As part of her figure skating routine, Reanna times her freestyle routine to a set piece of music - which has to include all the elements, including jumps and spins during the two-minute routine.
