Road Race Champs

Training, Times and Trophies: Following on from their recent success at the Auckland Secondary Schools' Road Race Champs (Tues 16 August) three of GBHS's fitness fanatics have continued to run rings around the competition over the weekend, with some amazing results. The Auckland Road Race, held on Sunday 21 August, saw Huy Tran (Year 13) come 1st in the U20 Men's 8km with a time of 31.49. Thomas Forrest-Dawson (Year 12) came 5th in the U18 Men's 6km with a time of 21.16. Aphichat Khothisen (Year 12) came 7th in the U18 Men's 6km with a time of 23.12. Thomas Forrest-Dawson was not deterred by a windy Wellington headwind during his latest Road Race competition. Thomas was selected to participate in the National U18 Men's team event at the NZ Road Race Championship, held in Wellington on Sunday 4 September 2022. Thomas completed the 6km run with a time of 21mins 37sec, adding another medal to his vast collection. Nice work everyone.
