It's been another week of great sportsmanship, camaraderie and support!

Our Basketball U17 Green started off with a great win last Thursday, beating Liston College 70-24. The Hockey Girls' team also had an awesome run, securing a 4-0 win over Rutherford College, who even borrowed some of our players.

The First XI Football Boys had their first win of the season on home grounds on Friday, beating Mahurangi College 3-0, and our 14A Football Boys are showing their talents, with a humble 8-0 victory over Henderson High School on Saturday. There was success for our Year 13 Boys, Junior 3rd XI Boys and 14 Development Football teams over the weekend, with great wins from the boys.

Both Boys' Rugby teams got off to great starts on Saturday, with our U85's taking home a 32-5 win over Auckland Grammar School, and the U60's winning 33-17 over Botany Downs Secondary College.

Our seven Junior Netball teams have just concluded their last grading round and will kick off Round 1 of their seasons this coming Saturday.

The Mountain Biking Cross Country series commenced on Sunday with the first out of five races. We have three students competing in the series, Tom Ross, Danika Kearins and Kayla Kearins. Stay tuned for the results.

On Tuesday, our Senior Netball teams faced some tough competition and faced some narrow losses but a 28-13 win for our Senior Blue Girls; only upwards from here! Our Premier Netball Girls' team finished their last grading game with a thumping 51-11 win over Hoani Waititi, meaning we have re-entered the 1B Premier Grade.

Also on Tuesday, 13 students competed in the Orienteering Individual Champs held in Woodhill Forest. Aidan Barrett-Hamilton placed 1st, and Cormac Gray placed 2nd in the Intermediate Boys' championship grade (the highest grade for their age)! Marina Zheng placed 2nd, and Daphne Slater in 3rd in the Intermediate Girls' standard grade. A sea of green on the podium yesterday! On top of this, our school placed 2nd overall for the fastest combined score of all students racing, so everyone contributed to this amazing achievement.

There were wins from both our 2nd XI and 9A Girls' Football Teams on Wednesday, with some great talent coming through. The First XI Football Girls' team made the journey to Pukekohe High School resulting in a nail-biting 1-1 draw.

Our Hockey boys' team played their hearts out on Wednesday despite being three players short on the turf, just falling short to Henderson High School in the second half with no fresh legs to sub on.

We had a very eventful Wednesday evening, hosting four Basketball games here at school, one of which was for two other schools. Results for our Boys' games are to be confirmed.

You can catch our Girls' Hockey, Girls' Basketball and U17 Green and Blue Boys' Basketball in action this Thursday evening; and our Football Boys' First XI will be local at Parrs Park this Friday for their derby against Avondale College.

Saturday is our busiest day with eight boys' football teams, seven girls' netball teams, and two boys' rugby teams.

Lots to choose from to watch - see you there!
