SMART Tool

In Weeks 3-5 of Term 2, our Year 9 students will be using the SMART tool to capture their current understanding in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.

This information will help both teachers and whānau clearly see what students can do and identify their next learning steps.

SMART is designed to support twice-yearly assessments in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. It is not a high-stakes test like an exam, but rather a low-pressure tool to provide a clear snapshot of each student’s learning and progress.

This will be completed during students’ regular class time.
