School Murals

GBHS’s student-led Creative Arts Council is transforming learning environments with the installation of school murals - fostering a sense of belonging, improving mental well-being, and boosting school pride.
The first of a series of murals takes pride of place on the wall of Music block, symbolising our local community and environment through the vibrant nature and subjects of the art piece.
Built on panels designed by Year 13 students (2025) Helena Zeman, Cherry Zhang in association with members of the 2025 mural subcommittee, the installation was completed during the 2026 April school holidays after continuous work from the Creative Arts Council members of 2026 - pushed to completion by Dhithi Uppal and Simone Liew.
GBHS’s school values are an integral part of the mural, representing our school’s purpose and fostering a sense of integrity and belonging.
The Creative Arts Council is planning to keep busy throughout the year with multiple projects, unlocking the creativity and talent that reside in our school. As well as murals, the Council is also creating many of the promotional posters seen throughout the school, led by Student Council member Jeanna Siapno.
