Regina Wu (Yr 12) is mastering the art of playing the piano - having practiced every day for the past six years!
This commendable dedication is certainly opening up the world as a stage for this promising young artist.
Earlier this year, Regina was invited to perform as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House, playing Novelette in E minor, as a result of winning a PIMC (Prodigy International Music Competition) at the end of last year.
“I began playing when I was 10 years old and practised for 6 hours a day,” says Regina, adding “But now that I am at high school, I only practice 2 - 3 hours a day.”
Next on the agenda is a solo performance at the opening of a new rest home in Karaka, held this Saturday (17 May) with Regina’s rendition of Rondo and Mozart’s Sonata sure to put a smile on guests and residents.
Well done, Regina - we are extremely proud of your accomplishment and look forward to hearing all about where your passion for the piano takes you!
