Changing of the Guard (Assistant Year 9 Dean) ... introducing Mr Ben Cook!

Green Bay High School is pleased to introduce Mr Ben Cook as the new Year 9 Assistant Dean. Ben is a familiar face to many students, having been a senior GBHS Chemistry teacher for the past two years - and newly appointed (verrry) energetic Karekare House leader.

"As assistant dean working alongside Lucy Morrin, I hope to help all students in our cohort to enjoy their time at GBHS and see success in a way that is true to themselves," says Ben.

As an avid cricket and football player, Ben enjoys sports and is very proud to be coaching the GBHS boys' 2nd XI football team this year.

Ben says he is a proud Titirangi local who has always been part of the West Auckland community and graduated from University of Auckland with a degree in Chemistry.

"Alongside my football and teaching, I am also the head of Karekare and we are back-to-back champions, on our way to a threepeat."

Previous Asst. Yr 9 Dean, Hamish Mackay - who was also our fabulous Director of Sport, has taken up a teaching position at Rutherford College and started his new adventure at the beginning of Term 2. We wish Hamish all the best.
