Nā tō rourou, nā taku rourou, ka ora ai te iwi.
This whakataukī suggests that when individuals contribute their own unique skills and resources, the collective "people" (or community) benefit and prosper.
Today (Thursday 5 June 2025) GBHS hosted several members of our local schools as part of our strong community-based relationships.
- Erin Namajuska (AP at Kaurilands School and Lead Principal of Kōtuitui)
- Nathan Dowding (AP at Glen Eden Intermediate School)
- Lorraine Sauvarin (Whānau Leader of Year 3 at Green Bay School)
- Zoe Strange (SENCo, Specialist Teacher, Therapeutic Play Therapist from New Lynn Primary)
- Jess O'Sullivan (Curriculum Leader from New Lynn Primary).
Members of the Kōtuitui Across School Leadership team visited GBHS to see what their local secondary school looks like in action - and where a number of their current students will attend in years to come. They were hosted by teachers Jo Orr and Tia McIver, who are also part of the Across School Leader team.
Staff opened up their doors to showcase what we do, and many of our students were able to recognise their previous teachers/school leaders from their former schools.
