Marathon Bake-Off

RAISING FUNDS FOR 40HR CHALLENGE:

Year 11 students Charlotte Dale and Ivy Kahi have raised over $1500 for the 40Hr World Vision fundraiser - thanks to a marathon bake-off, over the weekend!

Having baked from 8pm on Friday night, until midday on Sunday afternoon, the girls managed to cook up a storm and sold most of their baked goods at a fundraising stall set up at Kaurilands Primary School.

Armed with a wide range of home baking, from cupcakes and cakes to loaves and muffins, Ivy and Charlotte say they worked well as a team and had a lot of fun.

"Now that we know we can do it, we would definitely do it all over again," says Ivy, who said they now know what works - and what doesn't, adding "Cookies are the easiest to make when baking in bulk!"

"Although possibly waking up a bit earlier would make it easier!" added Charlotte.
