Goalkeeper Competition

Quinton Uili-Davy (Year 13) and Raff Stirling (Year 12) took part in New Zealand’s inaugural goalkeepers competition first event (2025).

The competition, run by NZGKU, was held at Bay City Park in December last year. This was an invitational-only event and featured 32 selected goalkeepers from across the region - including two GBHS students!

Goalkeepers went head-to-head in two-minute battles throughout the day.

Quinton represented the Bay Olympic Football Club, and Raff represented Green Bay High School. Both boys were amongst the youngest competitors in the tournament, competing against several experienced senior goalkeepers.

Both boys did well and made some amazing saves. Congratulations to Quinton and Raff on an outstanding performance against high-level competition!
