KAWHE & KŌRERO:

Next week's Guest Speakers are from the Defence Force and the NZ Police. All students are welcome to come and chat about their career journeys. You can ask questions, eat some free snacks and listen to some interesting life stories!

Term 1 Kawhe and Kōrero is:

  • 17th February: NZDF and Police
  • 24th February: Art Gallery Museum Curator, and a Librarian
  • 3rd March: Midwife
  • 10th March: Business Advisor, Accounting and Property
  • 17th March: Beautician and Hairdresser
  • 24th March: Film/Production/Scriptwriting/Acting
  • 31st March: Law

GBHS's Careers Department warmly invites students to come along to their weekly “Kawhe & Kōrero” sessions, held every Tuesday lunchtime in E3.

During these sessions, students meet people from different industries and ask questions. Students will hear about a wide range of careers, and the different paths people take to get into their roles, full of useful experience and/or qualification information ... and the best and worst parts of their jobs!
