Vocational Studies

Earlier this week, Year 12 Vocational Studies students went to the local Motu Moana Scout camp to take part in a 24-hour volunteering session, as part of their Student Volunteer Army service awards.
Students put in the hard mahi, helping maintain the vast grounds; moving (lots of) mulch, large fallen trees, and creating a new footpath!
The students also pushed their comfort zones to the limits by completing the Challenge Valley confidence course, taking part in orienteering, a blindfolded Burma trail, toasting marshmallows around a fire they had to build, and navigating a 17-metre waterslide.
Students wanted to mention a special 'shout-out' to Mrs Webb who got stuck in and demonstrated her skills on the confidence course!
