Year 11 Commerce students combined fun and learning at the Auckland Zoo.

Students got straight into the business of the day, learning about the decision-making process of a not-for-profit organisation and how their putāke (reason for being), values, and stakeholders influence the decisions that the organisation makes.

Thank you to the wonderful Zoo education team, who provided our students with valuable information to help with their upcoming Internal "Demonstrate understanding of an organisation's financial decision-making" assessment.

Students were able to see first-hand how financial decisions the Auckland Zoo makes, has led to conservation at work.

This trip supports students with their work throughout 2025 - the Auckland Zoo will be used as part of a case study for assessments.
