2024 OCEANIA ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Congratulations to GBHS student Lauren Barrett-Hamilton (Year 12) who has been selected to compete for New Zealand in the Oceania Athletics Champs (!!) to be held in Suva, Fiji (1-8 June 2024).

Lauren will be competing in the 100m Hurdles, High Jump, and Triple Jump, as part of the NZ U18 Women's team - and is certainly one to watch - smashing yet another Personal Best with a whopping 11m.51 in the Triple Jump at the recent North Island Secondary School champs, held in Palmerston North over the weekend. Lauren also came 2nd in the Hurdles, 4th in the High Jump, and was also part of the winning Auckland team in the 4x100m Relay.
