Kia ora e te whānau;

If last term was a marathon, term 2 will be much more of a sprint. This term is two weeks shorter and has lots to fit in. We will have to be up and going from the B of the Bang in what looks like a sprint of a term.

Tomorrow our students will participate in the Anzac Day Parade, together with staff and whānau in what has become part of Green Bay High School's annual tradition. The Anzac Day Parade starts at 10am from Titirangi Village, followed by a Service at 10.30am, held in the Titirangi Village Memorial Hall. I want to acknowledge the wonderful community that we are part of and I appreciate the presence of our students in the parade representing the school in such an important local and national event.

Seasons have certainly changed, and we are already into our winter sport. The Premier Netball team are already into their season and we have kickoffs in other grades and sports this week. I look forward to seeing the students on the pitch, field, court and even piste as we go through our winter repertoire - and am always up for a chat on the sideline in whichever weather-appropriate wrapped-up garb suits the occasion.

That “appropriate garb” theme also applies to students in school. We have an assurance from Argyle, our uniform provider, that they have plenty of inventory in stock (including jackets, sweatshirts, and long pants) which you can buy and take home on the day. Please click HERE for further details regarding school uniform requirements and purchasing as published on our school website. We want our students kitted out for any upcoming inclement weather and Argyle are ready to support in person or online. If you need some support with uniform purchases please contact your child’s dean or the school office.
