Staff V Students 2024

Annual Term 4 lunchtime competition:

GBHS's annual Staff V Students matches took place each lunchtime throughout this week.

According to a reliable source, GBHS staff teams have remained undefeated for the past 11 years, with only ONE netball game knocking them off their 100% victory perch.

• Monday's Touch Rugby match saw the Staff team win with a whopping 6-0 defeat.
• Tuesday's Football game was well contested, with students determined to put a dent in the teachers' legendary winning streak. Alas, the competitive camaraderie was not quite a walk in the park and the students went down with a score of 5-0.
• Wednesday's Volleyball tournament was highly contested with Staff winning 2 sets to 1.
• Thursday's Dodgeball event will see players dipping, diving, ducking, and dodging as the competition heated up - Yesterday's Staff V Students Dodgeball event will saw players dipping, diving, ducking, and dodging as the competition heats up. The Students' team was well supported with a great number of participants coming forth in an effort to put a winning notch on their belt - however, the Staff team definitely has the brawn and the brains to keep their winning streak in top form. You guessed it...it was yet another win for the Staff!
• Friday's Netball game took place on the turf - it was a fabulous turnout as students took on the staff in the grand finale of the 2024 Staff V Students competition. Although the game was high energy (with a few acrobatic jumps and leaps thrown in for good measure) the Staff team remained victorious (winning 21-7).

Despite the scores, there was lots of laughter, sportsmanship, and support shown in these light-hearted matches - by players and spectators alike!
