Python Programming.

Four Year 10 GBHS students took part in the national Programming Challenge for Girls recently, which involved solving problems using the Python programming language while encouraging girls in STEAM subjects.

The event was held in a number of locations, including Auckland University, Otago University, University of Canterbury, Victoria, and Waikato.

GBHS was represented by two Year 10 teams, each comprising two students. Team 1 consisted of Nanda Nair and Keya Parekh. Team 2 included Isabel Tong and Ella Fourie. Team 2 performed exceptionally well, and Team 1 was not far behind.

The University of Auckland generously provided them with goodies, and the girls were not disappointed with the rewards for their efforts.
