It's Science, but not as we know it!

Year 10 students Zak Russell, and Arianna Stowers, are taking part in the Whakapiki Ake Project today, accompanied by Science teacher Mr Matthew Ellison, at Auckland University.

The Whakapiki Ake Project operates within a kaupapa Māori framework (Year 9 through to the first year of tertiary study) and engages with rangatahi Māori to promote health as a career, and potential career pathways into Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences’ professional programmes.

The day provides exposure to science, with hands on experiences in Optometry, Biology and Chemistry lab sessions.
