Term 3 Sports Wrap-Up

What a huge Term 3 it has been for Green Bay High School Sport! Our students have represented the school with great pride, commitment, and enthusiasm across a wide range of competitions and tournaments.
A special congratulations to all of our students who competed at Winter Tournament Week. We had some fantastic results across Football, Netball, Basketball, Fencing, and Equestrian. More importantly, it has been great to see so many students getting involved, supporting their teammates and representing GBHS so well.
Summer Sport Sign-Ups (Juniors) With Term 4 just around the corner, we are now getting ready for our Junior summer sports season. Term 4 summer sport registrations are now closed. Teams are being finalised, and students will receive information about training competitions soon. Thank you to everyone who has registered and shown an interest in getting involved. We’re looking forward to another great season of summer sport at GBHS!
Sports Uniforms A reminder to students and whānau that sports uniforms must be returned promptly at the end of each season. Please make sure all borrowed uniforms are washed and returned to the Sport Department so they are ready for the next group of students.
Sports Awards - 22 October One of the highlights of our sporting year is coming up soon! Our 2026 Invitational Sports Awards Evening will be held on Thursday 22 October. This is a special opportunity to celebrate the achievements, commitment and contributions of our students across the year. We look forward to recognising our athletes, coaches and teams and celebrating everything that makes GBHS Sport so special.
Looking Ahead to Term 4 Term 4 is shaping up to be another busy one, with summer sport getting underway and a number of tournaments and events on the calendar. We will also be continuing to grow opportunities for students to participate in sport at all levels. It has been fantastic to see the continued growth of sport at GBHS this year, with more students getting involved and more opportunities becoming available. Our focus remains on creating opportunities for students to experience the pride, participation and performance that comes from being part of school sport.
Thank you to our students, whānau, coaches, managers and staff who continue to give their time and energy to GBHS Sport. Sport at our school simply would not happen without the support of this wider community.
