Sexuality Education

In Term 4, we will begin the Year 9 and Year 10 Sexuality Education module as part of the school Health programme. Topics in this module will include Consent, Decision‐making, Assertiveness Skills, Healthy and Unhealthy Relationships, Contraception, STI Information, and Puberty.

Year 10 classes will, in addition, work on the Body Safe Programme. You can access the Body Safe website, which covers topics on respectful sexual relationships, keeping safe, sexual violence and abuse, NZ Laws, myths and crimes surrounding sex.

We believe that all students need to be aware of these issues, and develop skills on how to deal with them.
